Born to Purr is proud to announce a life-changing partnership with Julie Davis, a local cat hero and tireless advocate, and her organization, Misfit Rescue. Julie serves on our Board of Directors, bringing decades of experience and an unwavering heart for cats who have nowhere else to turn.
For over 10 years, Misfit Rescue has been a lifeline for the most vulnerable cats. In 2025 alone:

Together, Born to Purr and Misfit Rescue are standing up for the ones left out, left behind, and too often forgotten. We are working toward a shared dream to save lives: building a sanctuary — a safe haven where cats who suffer the most can rest, heal, live without fear, and finally stop surviving and start living.
This sanctuary will be a refuge for street cats, senior cats, and special-needs cats — the ones most at risk of never being given a chance. Because just like the stories in Bruce Springsteen's music, every life matters, and everyone deserves a place to belong.
